GA SCI to partner with gti in presenting the 2023 Cast and Blast for Wounded Veterans at Lake Oconee
This September 18th through the 20th, the Georgia Chapter of Safari Club International (GA SCI) is proud to announce its partnership with Glasslined Technologies, Inc., a local manufacturer, to present the inaugural Cast and Blast Wounded Veterans Celebration. This private event stands as a tribute to our wounded veterans and an opportunity for the community to support true American heroes.
Set against the breathtaking beauty of Lake Oconee, the first annual Cast and Blast event promises to be an unforgettable three-day celebration of service, gratitude, and outdoor camaraderie exclusively for wounded veterans. With a shared commitment to honoring those who have dedicated their lives to safeguarding our nation, GA SCI and Glasslined Technologies have collaborated to offer these veterans a private experience that blends exhilarating outdoor activities with genuine fellowship with the mission to provide a time of healing and tranquility.
Event Highlights Include:
Day 1: Clay Shooting and Cookout Celebration
The event kicks off with veterans taking aim at clays at the renowned Old Hudson Plantation. Expert shooting coaches will provide guidance, ensuring an exciting and safe experience. As the sun sets, the day culminates with a cookout celebration at The Lodge on Lake Oconee.
Day 2: World-Class Fishing and Sunset Cruise
Veterans are paired with skilled fishing guides for a memorable morning of angling on Lake Oconee. As the day transitions into evening, veterans are treated to a chartered sunset cruise, complete with dinner and live music.
Day 3: Awards Ceremony
The final day of the event features an awards ceremony, as well as an opportunity to recognize outstanding veterans for their unwavering service. This heartwarming celebration serves as a fitting conclusion to the event, offering sincere appreciation for their sacrifices.
